QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ... How long will it take?   We offer express, same-day, next-day, and regular service. Express is our "anytime" service." We're available when you need that special tape copied whether it's 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon or 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Same-day service is just as it sounds -- same-day -- in by 2:00 p.m. done by 5:00 p.m. Next-day service is anything in by 4:00 p.m. one day is done by 3:00 p.m. the next day. Our regular service is usually two business days. The quantity and the specifics of your job may affect delivery time on all of the above. What if I need two or more tapes transferred to one?   We do transfer two or more tapes to one or more master tapes. In other words, we take your existing videotapes, combine them, and reduce them to the lowest number of new master tapes. For instance, we can take your twenty VHS-C tapes and copy them in sequence to the fewest number of VHS master tapes. It may be that your twenty VHS-C tapes will only take up three VHS tapes. You may want this service for the convenience of having everything on one tape or perhaps for the economy of duplication for mass distribution. What if I want you to start copying my tape at a certain point and stop copying it at certain point?   We call this a monitored copy. If you bring your video in cued up at the beginning or the end, give us the approximate length of the portion that you want duplicated, and a description of the beginning and the end, we can make one or more copies of your selected section. Do you record in the SP mode?   SP is short for Standard Play. This is the speed that most professional tapes are duplicated in. When a VHS T-120 tape is recorded in the SP mode, it will play for 120 minutes -- two hours. Our policy, unless requested, is to duplicate all tapes 3 hours or less, in the SP mode. The other speed that is available for us to duplicate in is the Extended Play mode or EP. A tape recorded in EP will play three times as slow as a tape recorded SP. There is a tradeoff though. Video quality in EP is about ten to fifteen percent less that SP video. Some tapes, duplicated in EP will look better that others depending on the quality of the original tape. We make all duplications in the SP mode unless the customer requests otherwise. I have a tape that was recorded in EP. Can you copy it?   Sure. We can copy tapes up to nine hours long on EP. We've heard of an "endless loop tape" -- a tape which plays our program over and over and over. Is there such a thing?   Yes and no. There are audio cassettes that play endlessly like that but there is no such thing for video. What you have probably seen or heard about is a program that has been edited over and over on a longer tape. We do provide such a service. We will take your program, fade it up from black, let it play, fade it out, repeating the process as long as necessary. We can do this on a one-hour, two- hour, or three-hour tape. This way your tape plays seamlessly! You only have to rewind the tape and press "play" every so often. If you combine our "loop tape" with a modern VCR/TV combo (which will automatically play the tape, rewind the tape, and then play the tape again), you can turn everything on in the morning and not worry about it for the rest of the day. This is great for sales conventions, seminars, and wedding receptions!
